Material Introduction: HIPS Chimei Zhenjiang PH‑888H is a heat‑resistant, high‑impact polystyrene material combining favorable mechanical properties, mainly designed for injection‑molding processes. It is normally supplied as milky‑white opaque pellets and can be freely color‑formulated.

Injection Molding Parameters

Process Parameter Recommended Range Unit Remarks & Descriptions
Drying Treatment 2‑3 h at 80°C HIPS has low water absorption; pre‑drying is generally unnecessary for processing. Drying is recommended if material is stored in humid environment or exposed for long time after package opening.
Barrel Temperature 180‑260 °C Preferred processing temperature:190‑240°C. Avoid long‑term residence at high temperature to prevent degradation.
Mold Temperature 10‑60 °C Carefully controlled mold temperature is critical for surface quality, weld‑line strength and warpage resistance. Higher mold temperature generally improves surface gloss and reduces internal stress.
Injection Pressure Adjust according to product structure and dimension MPa Sufficient holding pressure is required to avoid sink marks.
Screw Speed Medium speed (50‑100 rpm recommended) rpm Excessively high speed shall be avoided to prevent excessive shear heat.
